Car explosion in Paris suburb kills one

An explosive charge blew up a car in a Paris suburb today, killing the occupant, French radio and television reports said.

Police had no immediate comment.

LCI television reported that the car’s owner was previously known to the police and that investigators suspect that the bombing may have been a revenge attack.

The car exploded on a highway that runs by the suburb of La Courneuve, it added.
