Israel to impose holiday closure on West Bank and Gaza

Israeli Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz today banned all Palestinians from entering Israel during the coming Purim holiday, Israel’s Army Radio reported.

The move is aimed at preventing attacks during the holiday, when schools are closed and many families are outside celebrating. During the holiday, children dress up in costumes, march in street carnivals and attend parties.
