Bosnia in talks with EU to build closer ties

Bosnia today launched the first round of talks on building closer ties with the European Union, a step toward eventual EU membership.

The talks for a “stabilisation and association agreement,” began this morning in Sarajevo between the EU team, headed by the director of the Office for Western Balkans in the EU Enlargement Commission, Reinhardt Priebe, and the Bosnian negotiating team, headed by chief negotiator Igor Davidovic.
