Boy, 8, accidentally shoots girl, 7

A gun brought to a day care centre by an eight-year-old boy accidentally went off today, wounding a seven-year-old girl in the arm, police in Germantown, Maryland said.

The boy had the gun in the backpack and was playing with it when it went off at the For Kids We Care centre, Montgomery County police spokesman Derek Baliles said.
