Guatemalan military laments soldiers' deaths

Guatemalan officials mourned the deaths of eight Guatemalan soldiers killed by assailants in Congo today, but the president said he will not withdraw remaining troops from the UN peacekeeping force.

The attack was the worst loss of life for the 16,000-strong UN mission since it began 1999.
