5.1-magnitude earthquake shakes northern Pakistan
A 5.1-magnitude earthquake shook Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, Kashmir territory and other northern areas, but there were immediate reports of injuries or damage.
The quake struck at about 10.49am (5.49am Irish time) and was centred about 120 miles north-east of Peshawar, the capital of North West Frontier Province, said Mohammed Akram, an official at the Meteorological Department.
