New al-Zawahri video to be broadcast

Al-Jazeera Arab satellite network said today that it would broadcast excerpts of a new videotape by Ayman al-Zawahri, al Qaida’s No. 2 leader.

The announcement, in a red box noted “urgent” at the bottom of the screen, did not say exactly when the footage would air nor give any other details.

The most recent videotape from al-Zawahri, aired by the network last October, called on Muslims to aid victims of a massive earthquake in Pakistan.
