Six dead in French Alps avalanches

French rescuers today discovered the body of a skier killed by an avalanche in the French Alps, the sixth victim of deadly snowslides in the area in the last few days.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was skiing off-piste yesterday before being trapped under several meters of snow near the ski station of Saint-Colomban-les-Vilards.
