An Afghan court today sentenced to death two men after it found them guilty of kidnapping an Italian aid worker for three weeks this year, and murdering the son of an Afghan businessman.

An Afghan court today sentenced to death two men after it found them guilty of kidnapping an Italian aid worker for three weeks this year, and murdering the son of an Afghan businessman.

Abdul Baset Bakhtyari, president of the National Security Court, said Temur Shah and two other accomplices were responsible for kidnapping Care International worker Clementina Cantoni and abducting and killing the son of an Afghan businessman.
