Three Britons arrested on drug-smuggling charges

Portuguese police said today they detained three British men on suspicion of trying to smuggle a large quantity of hashish into Europe through Portugal’s southern Algarve coast.

Authorities said in a statement the men were on a fishing boat off Portugal when they were approached by a Spanish patrol boat on Monday.
