US Marine killed by roadside bomb

A US Marine died when his vehicle was hit by a roadside bomb in western Iraq, the US command announced today.

A statement said the Marine assigned to the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing was killed on Saturday in an explosion near Camp Taqaddum, 45 miles) west of Baghdad.

No other details were released.
