A mild earthquake hit Pakistan’s southern city of Karachi, causing panic among residents but no injuries, an official said today.

Sarfraz Ahmad, an official at the meteorological department, said that the 4-magnitude quake late yesterday was centred about 1,100 683 miles south of Karachi.
