Eta 'to announce ceasefire in three months'

The armed Basque separatist group Eta is planning to declare cease-fire in three months, a Spanish newspaper reported today.

“The Spanish government and Eta have had indirect contacts whose objective is a declaration of a truce. According to the agreed, this announcement will take place in the next three months,” the Madrid daily newspaper El Mundo said quoting unnamed sources close the Spanish intelligence service.
