Prosecutors in Georgia today charged a man, suspected of throwing a grenade during a rally by US President George W. Bush in Tbilisi in May, with premeditated murder.

A local television channel showed Vladimir Arutyunian, 27, who had been detained after a shootout with security forces yesterday, apparently signing a document acknowledging the charge against him.
