Car bomb rocks central Baghdad

A car bomb exploded in central Baghdad early today and police and witnesses said there were several people wounded.

The blast happened near eastern Baghdad’s Withaq Square, near the Alwiyah residential area, destroying at least three cars.

An witness speaking to an Associated Press Television News at the scene said he saw three policemen and four civilians wounded and ferried away by ambulance.
