Afghan militants kills workers on US building project

Suspected Taliban militants killed five Afghans working on a US-funded reconstruction project in an ambush of their vehicle today in the country’s south, an official said.

The attack occurred in Helmand province, about 110 miles northwest of the southern city of Kandahar, said senior provincial official Ghulam Muhiddin.
