Bookies tip Blair for big win
The odds against Tony Blair chalking up another three-figure majority were cut by bookies today.
Punters increasingly regard a Labour victory as a foregone conclusion and are not betting on the May 5 poll result.
Instead they are putting money on Mr Blair chalking up a third poll century. Bookmaker Ladbrokes has responded by cutting the odds from 7/4 to 6/4.
The shift was marked by 100 âTony Blairsâ â actors in masks and New Labour suits and ties â on Westminsterâs College Green.
Ladbrokes has Labour at 1/33 to triumph next Thursday with the Tories on 10/1 and Liberal Democrats 150/1.
