Jackson trial to begin on Monday

The stage is set for opening statements to begin next week in Michael Jackson’s child molestation trial, after eight alternate jurors were chosen.

The alternates were chosen yesterday, a day after the regular jury of 12 was sworn in by Judge Rodney Melville, in Santa Maria, California, bringing a rapid completion to the process. Opening statements start on Monday.
