Yes victory confirmed in Spain referendum

Spanish voters overwhelmingly endorsed the European Union constitution in a referendum today, but turnout was only 42%.

A total of 76.5% of voters backed the constitution, while 17.4% voted against it, the Interior Ministry said after 97% of the votes were counted.
