Sharon's warning to militants

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said today that violence has dropped in the Gaza Strip in recent days, but warned that Israel will respond forcefully if militants disrupt the period of calm.

Sharon spoke at a special cabinet meeting in Sderot, a southern border town that has been a frequent target of Palestinian rocket attacks.
