Snow storms batter Greece

Snow storms and gale-force winds caused disruptions across Greece today, forcing road closures and shutting down ferry services.

Northern Athens experienced snowfall and civil defence officials said heavy rain and snow caused blackouts and cut off telephone services in parts of the Peloponnese, southern Greece.
