Ukrainian election loser refuses to admit defeat

The losing candidate’s camp was still refusing to admit defeat in Ukraine’s contentious presidential election and was planning further court appeals today.

Allies of Viktor Yanukovych were expected to appeal the result at the Supreme Court in Kiev after the top election authority declared opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko the winner.
