50 detained in raids in Iraq

US soldiers and Iraqi police detained more than 50 people in several raids targeting insurgents in the Baqouba area north of Baghdad, it was announced today.

Two raids were conducted on Saturday in Hib Hib, a town about 40 miles from the Iraqi capital in a “search for known insurgents,” said the US 1st Infantry Division.
