Hundreds protest Italian immigration policy

Hundreds of people marched through the streets of Rome today to protest against tougher immigration policies backed by Premier Silvio Berlusconi’s government.

The march was expected to end near the central Piazza Venezia square. It drew immigrants, Italian supporters and some left-wing politicians.
