Troops raid homes in search for UN hostages

American and Afghan forces searching for three kidnapped UN workers smashed their way into a number of Kabul houses today.

About 10 people were detained in the pre-dawn operation, but there was no indication the three foreigners, including Armagh woman Anetta Flanigan, had been found.
