Condoleezza Rice undergoes surgery

Condoleezza Rice, President Bush’s choice to be the next secretary of state, underwent surgery today to treat non-cancerous growths in the uterus.

The National Security Adviser underwent uterine fibroid embolisation Georgetown University Hospital in Washington.
