Thatcher charged in Equatorial Guinea coup plot

Mark Thatcher has been charged with involvement in a coup plot in oil rich Equatorial Guinea, prosecutors confirmed today.

The 51-year-old South African-based son of former British premier Margaret Thatcher is accused of helping to finance the coup attempt, said Attorney General Jose Olo Obono.
