Israelis gun down Egyptian soldiers

An Israeli army investigation found that troops apparently killed three Egyptian soldiers they mistook for Palestinian militants along the Gaza-Egypt border today.

Foreign ministry spokesman Mark Regev said it appeared the soldiers spotted “suspicious movements” in the volatile border area, opened fire and mistakenly killed Egyptian soldiers.
