22 dead as militants attack police stations
Rebels launched a wave of deadly attacks against police stations in Iraq's western Anbar province for the second day in a row today, killing at least 22 people.
At dawn, armed militants clashed with police, then set off explosions at police stations in the neighbouring towns of Haditha and Haqlaniyah, 137 miles north west of Baghdad, said Capt Nasser Abdullah of the K3 police station in Haqlaniyah.
