Ohio provisional ballots 'could take days to count'

The Ohio secretary of state Ken Blackwell has said it could take 11 days to start to tally the provisional ballots in Ohio.

Some 96% of precincts in Ohio have reported so far, with Bush reportedly earning about 51% percent of the vote and John Kerry 49%.

George Bush has 2,687,000 votes, while John Kerry is on 2,564,957.

The Kerry campaign is claiming there are 250,000 provisional ballots to count and say they still believe they can win the state.

The Fox and NBC networks have called Ohio for George Bush, saying he cannot now be caught by Kerry, but the other US TV networks have refused to come down on either side.
