The Israeli army believes that al-Qaida carried out three car bombings in Egyptian resorts last week that killed at least 34 people.

Military chief Lieutenant General Moshe Yaalon told parliament’s Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee that the army’s intelligence latest assessment is “the international jihad” carried out the attacks in resorts on the Sinai peninsula.
