Two dead as blasts hit militant stronghold

At least two people were killed by explosions which rocked Iraq’s Sunni insurgent stronghold of Fallujah early today, hospital officials and witnesses said.

Witnesses said US warplanes swooped low over the city several times before dawn and again later in the day.
