White House: Russian school siege 'despicable'

The White House today branded the deadly hostage-taking at a Russian school by Chechen separatists as “barbaric” and “despicable”.

President George Bush’s spokesman Scott McClellan said the blame for the scores of dead lay squarely with the terrorists.
