Soldier killed by roadside bomb

A roadside bomb exploded as a US military convoy passed by on a road in northern Iraq, killing one American soldier and wounding two others, the Army said today.

The bomb exploded just south of Mosul, 225 miles northwest of the capital, on Sunday the military said in a statement.
