Blind man finds and murders friend
A blind man fatally stabbed his blind friend whom he found by feeling his way through a disabled people’s home and identifying the victim by voice.
Police said they would charge Edmundo Geraldiso, 55, with murder for the attack in the southern Philippine city of Zamboanga.
A blind witness identified Geraldiso, also by voice, investigator Tirso Cruz said.
Geraldiso had accused the victim, Reynaldo Concordia, of saying things that prompted Geraldiso’s girlfriend to leave him in 2000.
Ever since, he had sought the victim to exact revenge, Cruz said.
Geraldiso made his way out of his room with a dagger, found the victim talking in a kitchen and stabbed him twice, Cruz said.
“The victim had no way of sensing the approaching danger,” he said.
Geraldiso said he only meant to harm his friend, not kill him.
