Eartha Kitt injured in car crash

The original Catwoman, Eartha Kitt, was injured when her car overturned in a collision, it was reported today.

Kitt, 77, who played the feline crime fighter in the Batman TV series, was taken from the scene on a stretcher following the accident near her Connecticut home yesterday.

She was not seriously hurt and was later released from hospital.

Witnesses told the New York Post Kitt’s SUV was clipped by another vehicle at a junction and turned over.

Kitt’s two poodles, Mutzi and Aba, who were with her at the time, were not hurt.
