New security breach at atomic bomb lab

The nuclear laboratory that built the atomic bomb has halted all classified work while officials conduct a wall-to-wall inventory of sensitive data, following another embarrassing security breach.

The stand-down at Los Alamos National Laboratory began at noon yesterday, and the inventory of CDs, floppy disks and other data storage devices is expected to be completed within days, lab spokesman Kevin Roark says.
