Woman admits making up Swastika attack story
A French woman who confessed to fabricating a story about being the victim of a cruel anti-Semitic attack was charged today with making up a crime and faces six months in prison, a prosecutor said.
The story by the 23-year-old mother, identified only as Marie-Leonie, created an uproar in France, where the government is trying to combat a rise in anti-Semitic and other hate crimes.
