A US marine who disappeared in Iraq and turned up in Lebanon nearly three weeks later said today he was in good health and “excited to be going home,” but military officials said his flight to the US had been put back until tomorrow.

A US marine who disappeared in Iraq and turned up in Lebanon nearly three weeks later said today he was in good health and “excited to be going home,” but military officials said his flight to the US had been put back until tomorrow.

Corporal Wassef Ali Hassoun left the US military hospital at Landstuhl, Germany, today and it was expected he would be flown home immediately.
