Home Office in High Court move over police chief

Lawyers acting for British Home Secretary David Blunkett intend to lodge a legal action against Humberside Police Authority today in the latest stage of a power struggle over the future of Chief Constable David Westwood.

A Home Office spokeswoman confirmed they hoped to lodge papers at the High Court by the end of the day.
