Powell: No Iraq veto over US troops

The United States will not give Iraq a veto over US troops, but will work with the government as partners, secretary of state Colin Powell has said.

As several nations demanded changes in a proposed United Nations resolution to bolster Iraq’s authority, Powell said the 138,000 US troops would remain under US command.
