Two Russian civilians die in Iraq ambush
Gunmen opened fire today on a convoy taking Russian technicians to work at a major Baghdad electric power station, killing two of them and wounding at least five, Iraqi and Russian officials said.
The victims were employed by the same Russian company as two other Russian experts who were kidnapped south of Baghdad this month and later released.
A third Russian was killed in that incident.
In Moscow, the executive director of the company Interenergoservis, Alexander Rybinsky, said the firm has decided on a full evacuation of all its personnel from Iraq.
