Two feared dead in Dutch train crash

Two people were believed to have been killed when passenger train collided with an empty train car near Amsterdam central station tonight.

Two people were believed to have been killed when passenger train collided with an empty train car near Amsterdam central station tonight.

Dutch rain operator Prorail estimated 10 to 15 people had been injured.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said that the accident occurred shortly after 6pm.

Traffic to and from the station was curtailed as trauma helicopters transported injured people to hospitals.
