A group of Russians and Ukrainians kidnapped in Iraq have been released, news agency Interfax reported, citing their company.

The Interfax report identified them as employees of the Interenergoservis company.

Al-Jazeera said two Iraqi security guards working for the Russians “may have been” killed during a gunfight with the kidnappers at the company’s Baghdad office.
