US helicopter shot down in Baghdad

Rebels shot down a US Apache attack helicopter in west Baghdad today, the military said. The fate of the crew was unknown.

“A 1st Cavalry A8-64 Apache helicopter was downed by unknown ground fire west of Baghdad The condition of the crew is unknown,” the spokesman said.
