Russians go to the polls

Russians were voting today in a presidential poll that incumbent Vladimir Putin is expected to win in a landslide after a lacklustre campaign that gave most people little chance to hear from his challengers.

With Putin’s almost certain victory, the Kremlin worried only about low voter turnout, which could weaken the former KGB agent’s mandate for the next four years.
