Explosions rocks Kiev court building

Two powerful explosions rocked a court building in the Ukrainian capital Kiev today causing casualties, the ITAR-Tass news agency reported.

It was not immediately clear what caused the blasts, which ruined a section of a wall in the Darnitsa district court in Kiev and shattered windows in surrounding buildings.

At least 10 people were injured the explosion which ripped through the court and originated in the basement, officials said.

According to preliminary information, the explosion was caused by repair work, but investigations are underway to determine the cause said Oleh Venzhyk of Ukraine’s Emergency Situations Ministry.
