Agreement reached on EU aviation safety directive

The European Parliament and the EU Council of Transport Ministers have reached agreement on a directive relating to the safety of non-European aircraft using EU airports.

The agreement was announced today by Irish Transport Minister Seamus Brennan, who is currently president of the council.
