Dozens injured as quake rocks Indonesian islands
A powerful earthquake shook Indonesia’s tourist islands of Bali and Lombok today, injuring nearly 30 people and damaging dozens of buildings, officials and witnesses said.
On Lombok, one elderly man died, apparently of shock as a result of the quake, which the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency said measured at 6.1 on the Richter scale. The Hong Kong Observatory recorded the temblor at 5.4.
