The Zimbabwe government has repossessed about 400 farms from black owners who occupied more than one property seized from white farmers under a controversial land redistribution programme.

The Zimbabwe government has repossessed about 400 farms from black owners who occupied more than one property seized from white farmers under a controversial land redistribution programme.

The farms, covering at least 480,000 acres, would be redistributed to people still waiting for land, said John Nkomo, minister of special affairs in President Robert Mugabe’s office.
